Monday's assignment

Happy Monday, everyone!

Last week we focused on designing our blogs and making our first posts. Today we will focus on how to make our posts look better.

1. Write one paragraph answering the question: How are you a teacher? We started this unit by talking about what a teacher is. Today, think about how you are a teacher. You can write in the language of your choice.

2. Add a link and an image to your post. When you are on the "New Post" page, look at the task bar above the text box. It is very similar to the one in Microsoft Word. You can change font types and sizes, change the color of your font, and add lists.  There are also some options that are not on Word. In particular: Add or remove a link :
Click the link button
Enter the text you want to display
Enter the address you are linking to
For example: Click me! will take you to 'www.yahoo.com'

Insert image
This is the button beside "Link." It looks like a picture frame.
"Upload" lets you chose a picture that is already saved on the computer
"From URL" lets you link to a picture from another Web site. To do this, right click on the picture and select "copy image location." You can paste that into the URL form.
Make sure that the image you use relates to the content of your post!

Insert jump break
This is the button that looks like a torn piece of paper.
It 'breaks' your post so that only the part above the jump break shows up on the main page. It makes your blog easier to read and navigate.  I used a jump break at the beginning of this post.
Add the jump break at a place that makes sense -- usually, just after the introduction.

Fun? Fun!
